Piérard, MD; Jorge Sánchez, MD; and the late A. Bernard Ackerman, MD, who also served as the ISDP's first president. The International Society of Dermatopathology, Inc, was incorporated in 1994, and classified as 501(c) (03) not-for-profit. The aims and objectives of the ISDP are to increase knowledge of the structure and function of the skin and of diseases of the skin by microscopy. The Society intends to promote friendship and scientific exchanges among its members of different countries; to sponsor international and regional meetings; and to sponsor educational events. Modules Anywhere -- Announcement regarding 23rd JOINT MEETING OF THE ISDP Dear ISDP members and meeting registrants, We regret to inform you that in response to the continuing developments related to COVID-19, the International Society of Dermatopathology is cancelling the 23rd Joint Meeting scheduled for March 18-19, 2020, in Denver, Colorado. After discussions with society leadership and planning committee members, it is agreed that the agenda for this meeting will roll over to the meeting scheduled for March 17-18, 2021 in San Francisco, California. Speakers will be invited to return and present their lectures for the 2021 meeting. This includes those contributing cases and discussions for the Self Assessment Course. Also, those whose abstracts and posters were accepted for presentations are invited back for the next meeting as well (as abstracts were already accepted for presentation, they may be published even if being presented at the 2021 meeting). Over the next few days the administration will work to refund registration fees. While the society will be able to recoup some of the funds required to organize the meeting, we will be required to pay part of the contracted fees. To that end, if members wish to donate all or part of their registration to the society, it will be most appreciated. Also if you would like to roll your registration over for the 2021 meeting we will be glad to do that as well. Just email Pam, our manager, at [email protected] Again, we regret that we have to cancel this event, but feel it is in the best interest of our guests and members and it is our sincere hope that all of you remain safe and healthy.
